Tom E. Blackwell, President and Principal, graduated with a BBA in Marketing from Texas Tech University in 1972. Tom’s title insurance experience includes 12 years as an employee and ultimately part owner of an independent title agency in Lubbock, Texas. Following the sale of his company in Lubbock, he served as President and District Manager of a national underwriter’s Fort Worth Division and District for 8 years. Tom was also the Chairman of their Cleburne and Lubbock operations. In 1989, he joined the largest title underwriter in the United States and was soon promoted to Administrative Regional Vice President. His responsibilities included the management of 17 title company divisions and 400+ independent title insurance agents over a 4 state area. He also oversaw the company’s underwriting and claims departments. He is currently the treasurer and a board member of The Friends of Westfield House in Cambridge, England, a member of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Presidential Advisory Board, he is the former president of Memorial Lutheran Church, Houston, Texas and was a former Chairman of the Underwriter Committee of the Texas Land Title Association as well as a 10 year member of the association’s Board of Directors.

Mark Basile, Executive Vice President and Principal, entered the title business in 1970 upon his return from service with the United States Army and while completing his studies to acquire his Master’s Degree. Working in many positions ranging from messenger to Operations Manager to include Executive Vice President of a large title insurance underwriter, Mark assumed a position with a large underwriter in Texas in 1987. During that period, he was responsible for the development of business in the greater Houston Area and ultimately became the Texas State Operation Manager overseeing operations in 9 cities with over 1500 employees. Mark now resides in Houston with his wife Sandy.
