The community of Pearland originated in 1882 near the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe railway. In late 1894 the founders decided to officially rename the city from Mark Belt to Pearland after being known for its fruit harvest and its vast pear tree orchard. Throughout the many years of development Pearland has become the 3rd largest city in the Houston Metropolitan area followed by Sugar Land and The Woodlands not to mention it’s the largest city located in Northern Brazoria County. When it comes to real estate location is always key, which makes this community a desirable place to live and work. If you’re heading north, it’s less than 10 miles to the well-renowned Texas Medical Center, Downtown Houston, 4 major sport stadiums and the theater district. It’s close to NASA, Clear Lake and the Gulf of Mexico is only a short drive to our south.
Pearland is a place where people gravitate towards to get away from the hustle and bustle of big city living to grow their families or to enjoy a more relaxed hometown lifestyle. Come visit our community today and we’ll leave the light on.
